Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 14, 2026
B&C Construction wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on assistive technology.
Our Goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What We Have Done
The following measures are in place across this site:
- Semantic HTML — headings, lists, landmarks and buttons are marked up so screen readers can convey structure correctly.
- Keyboard navigation — every link, button, menu and form field can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
- Visible focus indicators — the currently focused element is clearly outlined so keyboard users can see where they are.
- Alternative text — images carry descriptive alt text, and purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Colour contrast — text and interface colours were chosen to keep contrast legible against their backgrounds.
- Reduced motion — scroll and image animations respect the operating system's "reduce motion" preference and are turned off when it is enabled.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time fix. We review the site as we add content and correct issues as we find them. Some third-party or embedded content may not be fully conformant, and we may not control how it behaves.
